Project Manager (Commercial & Industrial Painting)
Brush Strokes Quality Painting is a commercial and industrial painting contractor serving Augusta and the broader CSRA (Georgia + portions of South Carolina). We deliver complex work with strong systems, clear accountability, and a "do life together" team culture. As we continue to grow, we're hiring an in-person Project Manager to run assigned projects profitably, safely, and to Brush Strokes quality standards.
Location: Augusta, GA (In-person role, based out of our Augusta office -- job sites across Augusta + CSRA)

- Lead field execution on assigned projects: sequencing, scope clarity, and site leadership
- Maintain consistent on-site presence and jobsite professionalism (safety, cleanliness, organization)
- Coordinate daily with the Project Coordinator to align crew schedules, subcontractors, deliveries, and site readiness
- Perform documented quality control checks at key milestones and prevent rework through early correction
- Conduct client job walks, manage punch lists, and communicate progress, schedule changes, and issues proactively
- Track labor hours vs. budget weekly and protect margin through disciplined cost control
- Monitor material usage, waste, and job readiness to prevent downtime and overruns
- Identify margin risks, scope gaps, safety hazards, and client escalation early -- and elevate to the General Manager quickly
- Read and interpret architectural drawings/blueprints to plan scope, sequencing, and labor needs
- Maintain accurate project documentation and return work-related communications within 4 hours during business hours
- 5+ years of construction management experience (required)
- Ability to understand and work from architectural drawings/blueprints (required)
- Strong schedule coordination skills across crews, subs, and material deliveries (required)
- 3-4 years of painting industry experience strongly preferred (commercial/industrial ideal)
- Proven ability to lead crews and subcontractors on active job sites
- Strong communication skills with clients, GCs, and internal team members
- Organized, disciplined follow-through -- you don't let details fall through the cracks
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites across Augusta + CSRA
- You don't "hope" projects stay profitable -- you track, communicate, and course-correct early
- You lead with calm urgency: steady execution without drama
- You hold the standard on quality and safety, even when no one is watching
- You're proactive with customers -- no surprises, no ghosting, no excuses
- You work within boundaries: you elevate scope/pricing changes instead of freelancing decisions
- Full-time, W-2, in-person role based in Augusta, GA
- Pay: $20 to $30 per hour to start (based on experience and capability)
- Long-term growth: established PMs can progress toward $70,000 to $80,000/year (DOE) as mastery and tenure are proven
- Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
