Job Summary

The Associate Director of Operations and Occupancy leads daily student housing operations, supervises key staff, and optimizes the use of the Star Rez housing management system. This role is responsible for room assignments, occupancy tracking, billing, process automation, and enhancement of related modules.

Responsibilities
  • Lead occupancy management and system optimization across Star Rez, Annunity, and Personna.
  • Maintain accurate occupancy records, reports, and documentation to support Housing and Residence Life operations.
  • Provide oversight for Living Learning Communities in collaboration with LLC Coordinators.
  • Coordinate room assignments, early arrival/late stay accommodations, and related administrative processes.
  • Manage Star Rez system development, testing, and integration of new functionalities, including housing contracts, lease processes, and data cleaning.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate housing assignment policies and procedures.
  • Analyze occupancy trends and recommend strategies to optimize revenue and support enrollment goals.
  • Supervise the Operations Coordinator and Assignment Coordinator, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead and manage Summer Housing operations, including logistics for camps and conferences.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Operations, vendors, and other departments on occupancy-related projects and vendor performance.
  • Assist in student housing billing, including posting, auditing, and reconciliation of transactions.
  • Maintain Star Rez portal workflows, templates, and automated processes.
  • Represent Housing and Residence Life at seminars, conferences, and professional events.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of related experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Star Rez or other housing management systems.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: Days;
Monday–Friday (outside of standard business hours may be required).

Pay Band: B11

Salary: $56,600–$61,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications.

Recruitment Period:
Until Filled.

Benefits include health, dental, life, and optional retirement plans, along with paid vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Eligible employees may also be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.
