Responsibilities
As a Regional Manager at Related Affordable, you will lead and manage a diverse portfolio of properties, driving success through asset preservation, budget management, and industry compliance. Your role involves building high‑performing teams, inspiring collaboration with community managers, asset managers, and city agencies, and ensuring operational excellence and tenant satisfaction.
- Direct, challenge, and motivate Community Managers to run high‑performing properties.
- Create and implement leasing and marketing plans, resident relations, budget preparation and financial reporting, and monitor compliance with Project‑Based Section 8, Section 236 and LIHTC laws.
- Hire and supervise site staff, including initial screening, interviewing, and delegation to trained site Community Managers.
- Supervise all site accounts payables and receivables.
- Review site budget‑control logs and monthly income statements; prepare monthly variance analysis reports for the regional office.
- Handle resident complaints expeditiously, diplomatically, and professionally.
- Ensure maximum economic rents through active rent‑level management, targeted outreach, and resident retention programs.
- Supervise building security and incident documentation.
- Develop, implement, and assure preventive maintenance programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- 5+ years of multi‑family property management leadership experience.
- 3 years of oversight for multi‑site portfolios.
- Strong working knowledge of LIHTC and project‑based Section 8 (HUD) affordable housing compliance programs; certifications such as CPO, CPM, SHCM, TCS, or BOS are a plus, along with experience in major rehabs and renovations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Goal‑oriented leader with a genuine care and concern for your team, clients, and residents.
- Previous experience with major rehabs/renovations.
- Experience with Real Page One Site and JD Eddwards (or similar software program).
- Ability to travel within the portfolio and respond to off‑hour emergencies as needed.
- Highly financial savvy, with proficiency in reading operating statements, budgets and credit/debits/re‑classes and accruals.

- $115,000 – $125,000 per year
