Assistant Operations Manager – Warehouse

Augusta Campus Distribution and Logistics Warehouse Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves building strong teams? RBW Logistics is looking for a purpose-driven Assistant Operations Manager to help lead our warehouse operations and support our mission:

What You’ll DoAs the Assistant Operations Manager, you’ll partner with the Operations Manager to oversee both customer service and warehouse floor operations. You’ll help ensure seamless execution of receiving, inventory, order processing, and shipping activities while supporting labor planning, process improvement, and customer satisfaction. You’ll also play a key role in onboarding new clients, training team members, and testing new tools and systems.

Your Impact Operational Leadership Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.

Support both B2B and B2C distribution models, including case pick, each pick, and eCommerce fulfillment.

Ensure SOPs and SLAs are followed for each client, adjusting workflows to meet volume fluctuations and customer-specific needs.

Monitor and improve warehouse processes such as wave planning, slotting, and pick path optimization.

Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and WMS integrity.

Collaborate with transportation teams to meet carrier cut-offs and delivery expectations.

Lead onboarding for new clients, including SOP documentation and go-live execution.

Conduct weekly billing and quarterly business reviews with clients.

Assist in annual budgeting and purchasing processes.

Team Management Support and develop a high-performing team of warehouse associates.

Plan and adjust labor to meet daily operational needs and customer demand.

Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Customer Engagement Serve as a key point of contact for assigned customer accounts.

Address escalations, provide performance updates, and ensure service excellence.

Communicate customer feedback and improvement opportunities through leadership.

Process & Continuous Improvement Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to improve productivity and service.

Test and provide feedback on new systems and tools to enhance operations.

Maintain and update SOPs to reflect evolving best practices.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, sanitation, safety, and maintenance standards.

Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance and accountability.

Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness across all areas.

What You’ll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (previous experience with Warehouse Management Platforms such as Depasco or Synapse a plus).Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset.

FLSA Status:
Exempt This role operates out of our Augusta Campus with occasional travel and may require flexibility for after-hours availability.
8-hour shift, Monday to Friday

Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.
