Assistant General Manager (AGM)
Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business or department. The AGM plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, financial performance, and alignment with company goals. This position assists in coordinating across functions such as operations, sales, finance, human resources, and customer service, while helping drive growth, performance, and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities- Support the General Manager in developing and executing business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Assist in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Help manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and control costs.
- Supervise, coach, and support department managers and staff; help foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs, assist in analyzing results and implementing operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners as needed.
- Support initiatives to identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new services, markets, or process improvements.
- Address operational challenges and assist in resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
- Step in for the General Manager when required and provide updates or reports on operational performance and initiatives.
- Proven experience in an assistant management, operations management, or supervisory role.
- Solid understanding of key business functions including operations, finance, HR, marketing, and customer service.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in business software such as Microsoft Office, ERP systems.
- Experience supporting change management or business growth initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple teams, departments, or locations.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
