Facilities Services' responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.
The Moving Services, Warehousing & Event Support Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising campus moving operations, warehouse logistics, event setup activities, and the installation of tents and temporary structures. The position ensures safe, timely, and compliant execution of services that support academic, administrative, research and student-life functions. Work involves planning, assigning, and reviewing tasks; maintaining inventory and equipment; and ensuring adherence to university policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
The role requires independent judgment within established guidelines and frequent coordination with campus departments.
Moving Services Supervision
Coordinate and supervise campus moves for offices, classrooms, labs, residence halls, and storage areas. Conduct pre-move assessments and communicate with departments regarding scope and timelines. Oversees and participates in the disassembly of furniture and equipment prior to moves, ensures safe transport, and directs the proper reassembly and placement of items at the new location in accordance with departmental specifications and OSHA guidelines.
Ensure compliance with university policies, ADA considerations, and safety standards.
Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, staging, storing, and issuing departmental supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory of event equipment, tools, and departmental supplies and materials. Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and risk-management guidelines.
Event Support & Campus LogisticsCoordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown of tables, chairs, staging, signage, barricades, and other event equipment.
