Director of Campus Activities
The Director of Campus Activities provides leadership for the Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC), the Jaguar Production Crew, and campus-wide programming efforts. The position oversees facility operations, event support services, student staff, and the overall student experience within the student center, ensuring the building remains a welcoming, functional, and engaging hub for campus life. The Director collaborates with campus partners to support student engagement initiatives and enhance opportunities for involvement and connection.
Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership for the Campus Activities unit, overseeing business operations, ensuring compliance with university policies, establishing departmental goals, developing a long-term vision for campus programming, providing oversight for campus-wide programming efforts, supervising the planning and execution of major campus traditions, supporting the Jaguar Production Crew, collaborating with campus departments and student organizations, assessing program effectiveness, providing direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Campus Activities, overseeing the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of student employees, providing leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Jaguar Student Activities Center, performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree from an Accredited College or University and five years of work experience in higher education or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active engagement in professional associations, accomplishments in student engagement, demonstrated experience overseeing student center operations, event support services, facility management, or large-scale campus facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Physical abilities to perform all job duties, excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated organizational skills, ability to easily relate with people, ability to handle stressful situations with ease and professionalism, willingness to adjust personal schedule to the needs of the councils and student programs, understanding and demonstrated commitment to programs and activities that support a welcoming campus community, demonstrated ability to supervise full-time professional staff, including coaching, performance management, and professional development.
Shift/Salary/Benefits:
Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required) Pay Band: B13 Salary: $68,500.00/Annually-$87,300.00/Annually Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period:

Conditions of Employment:
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
