The Material Handler will assist with the operation of multiple loading racks, including truck and rail racks, performing loading and unloading activities. Loaders will rotate into a team of Bulk Loaders, handling railcars and tanker trucks.
What you will do:
- Assist with terminal/distribution operations by performing loading and unloading of hazardous chemicals (e.g., nitric acid, anhydrous ammonia) via truck and rail car.
- Rehandle off-spec product, and perform mixing, heating, filtering, and sampling to ensure product conformity.
- Assist with tank transfers of hazardous chemicals, ensuring proper valve alignment, sampling, safety measures, and environmental considerations following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor product transfers to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at the terminal.
- Assist with terminal maintenance duties, maintaining equipment in operational condition.
- Pull samples for chemical analysis to guarantee product integrity.
- Record activities using electronic hand-held devices, documenting SOPs, load-out activities, and tank information.
- Load trucks and railcars, and unload raw materials from suppliers and intra-plant units.
- Track mobile equipment movements and spot railcars and tanker trailers.
- Operate heavy machinery such as front-end loaders and dump trucks.
- Assist customers and producers with any issues that may arise.
What you will bring:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience handling liquid and dry products for agricultural and industrial use is preferred.
