Baumüller Nuermont is seeking experienced Millwright / Mechanical Maintenance Mechanics for a 5-week industrial project at the Aurubis facility in Augusta, GA. This role supports mechanical installation, alignment, piping assembly, and commissioning activities in a heavy industrial environment.

We are looking for dependable mechanics with a strong work ethic who can work safely, efficiently, and independently.

• Install, align, and secure pumps, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
• Assist with piping system assembly (up to 12" lines)
• Perform bolting and torque verification to spec
• Support flushing, cleaning, and hydrostatic pressure testing
• Conduct precision alignment (laser or dial indicator preferred)
• Interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs
• Assist during startup and commissioning activities
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-discipline teams

• 3–7+ years of industrial millwright or mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience in heavy industrial, refinery, smelting, or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of torque specs, hydraulics, and rotating equipment
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs
• Must bring personal hand tools
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Reliable attendance and safety-focused mindset

• Self-starter with strong productivity
• Comfortable working overtime if needed
• Takes pride in quality installs and clean workmanship
• No supervision babysitting required
