Job Summary

Responsible for daily operation of an asphalt production plant, including safety, compliance, and quality control.

• Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained in terms of safety, quality, and efficiency
• Effectively coordinate the day-to-day work environment and staff to ensure safety, regulatory, and production targets are met
• Actively support and lead Company initiatives related to safety and employee development
• Assist with training, coaching and development of employees to perform at their highest level
• Maintain effective relationships with internal/external customers, suppliers, and Company business groups
• Effectively communicate in a professional manner in person, over the phone, and on company radio channels
• Establish plant production schedules to meet supply, schedule, and delivery needs
• Use computer system to enter and maintain data, manage schedules, prepare reports, and respond to e‑mail correspondence
• Batch and inspect loads to ensure consistency of mix
• Coordinate scheduling of plant equipment maintenance
• Order and maintain inventory of raw materials supply
• Safely operate company equipment, tooling, and vehicles as needed

• 10 or more years of experience in asphalt production operations and/or related role
• 5 or more years of experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Self‑directed, results‑oriented, and highly motivated, requiring minimal direct guidance
• Ability to lead and motivate others; prior experience effectively managing a team preferred
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, problem‑solve, and work under consistent pressure of deadlines
• Basic computer skills, including use of MS Office products
• Valid drivers' license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record required;
  Class B commercial license preferred

• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
• Frequently required to stand; walk across uneven terrain; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery
• Occasionally required to work from heights
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions and loud noise; including some exposure to fumes or airborne particles
