Siemens is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a new plant in Pendergrass, Georgia. If you are not local, we will consider relocation for the right candidate.
This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring process adherence, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, the capability to influence others, and a passion for innovation in manufacturing processes.
You will make an impact by:- Ensuring strict adherence to established guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Driving the achievement of performance standards within the Manufacturing Engineering function.
- Contributing to annual budget planning and monitoring ongoing budget adherence.
- Proposing and implementing improvements to technical infrastructure and manufacturing procedures.
- Planning, developing, and executing performance measurements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leading and managing improvement projects at the site or unit level.
- Conducting inspections, investigations, and in-depth analysis of manufacturing and logistics processes.
- Leading all aspects of the ramp‑up phase for new equipment, machines, and processes related to new product introductions.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams, external vendors, and service providers.
- Ensuring comprehensive and up‑to‑date process documentation.
- Coordinating with technicians and engineers to ensure proper training and qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (or related field), or a proven track record of hands‑on experience and achievements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proven experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and lean tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems, Six Sigma, lean certifications).
