Dover Precision Components, part of Dover Corporation's Pumps & Process Solutions segment, designs and manufactures mission-critical components for the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial and chemical markets.
SummaryReporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for process optimization of technical manufacturing operations, process change management, 5S, standard work instruction creation, auditing, capacity planning, and supporting health, safety and environmental policies.
Responsibilities- Work with Operations to adjust processes and review KPIs daily to drive productivity and efficiency.
- Initiate, manage, and lead large, complex technical improvement projects.
- Plan and implement plant layouts and production equipment to maximize facility utilization and production efficiency.
- Apply lean principles to optimize work/process flow, reducing machine set-up and change-over times (SMED).
- Investigate and implement new technologies to digitize and automate product manufacturing and machine connectivity.
- Create and modify work routers and bills of material.
- Implement the digital factory process across the organization.
- Leverage the ERP system (Syteline) to analyze manufacturing data.
- Document standard work, including creation of work instructions, recording and analyzing cycle times, and value stream mapping.
- Initiate and lead Kaizen events and value stream mapping activities.
- Lead and positively influence personnel during process changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Practical knowledge of continuous improvement practices, formal problem-solving (Ishikawa Diagram, A3, 5 Why, etc.) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for spreadsheets and documentation.
- Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD.
- CNC and manual machining experience.
- Practical knowledge of CNC programming.
- Experience creating work routers and bills of material.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in manufacturing operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Gibbs
CAM programming experience. - VBA coding experience.
- Basic understanding of compressors and turbines and the function of major components.
- Experience manufacturing bearings and seals for compressors and turbines.
- Experience with various welding operations.
- Knowledge and implementation experience of automation technologies for metal and plastic machining operations.
