SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for operating a forklift, moving finished product from the packaging area to the stretch wrap machine and into the warehouse for placement onto inventory racks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner to perform necessary job requirements.
- Know and understand finished goods functions, including production order completion and scanning knowledge.
- Organize partial skids and transfer them back to packaging station.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the packaging and warehouse areas, including sweeping out bins and cleaning tape machines.
- Promote safe work behavior and strong housekeeping habits within the packaging department and throughout the NIBCO Greensboro facility.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Forklift experience required; preferred
EDUCATION:High School Diploma or GED
TRAINING ANDSKILLS:
- Reading
- Math
- Ability to comprehend
- Able to read and speak English.
- Repetitive hand movement, lifting, and placing boxes varying weight up to 50 lbs.
- Extreme temperatures of up to 110 degrees in peak summer months.
- Subjects to standing for extended period.
