Summary
The Vision Systems Engineer will support the prevention of quality issues in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection systems, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.
Responsibilities- Submit daily production reports on improvements and KPIs distributed to production teams and HQ
- Support production through adjusting parameters daily
- Install vision system machines, schedule installation equipment, distribute schedule to production teams, HQ, and vendor
- Perform inspection machine preventive‑maintenance management (maintenance/performance management, vision spare parts)
- Conduct inspection equipment improvement activities
- Improve and manage inspection machine accuracy and detection power
- Establish inspection information management system
- Expand equipment and disseminate/apply new technologies for inspection
- Review and plan inspection machine model development and model changes
- Develop technician skill and improvement plan and implement it
- Establish and manage inspection machine standards
- Establish and revise PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual
- Ensure compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations
- Maintain cleanliness at work‑site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
- 1-3+ years of related experience
- Internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing or industrial environment considered in lieu of full‑time experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Working knowledge of automated inspection equipment and machine vision systems
- Basic understanding of PLC communication and automated production equipment
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals, SOPs, and work instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills
- Ability to document maintenance activities and inspection results accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail while monitoring automated equipment in a continuous production environment
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for up to 12 hours: safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, nitrile gloves, ear protection, cleanroom suit
- Must be able to perform the following activities repeatedly for up to 12 hours: lift, push, and pull materials or equipment; stoop, twist, and bend; reach overhead; sit and/or stand for extended periods; use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems
- Work may involve handling or working in proximity to hazardous materials and regulated industrial chemicals
- Exposure to chemical vapors, dust, or other controlled substances may occur depending on process assignment
- Strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA Hazard Communication requirements is mandatory
- Employees must properly wear and maintain assigned PPE at all times within designated areas
- Required PPE may include respirators, chemical‑resistant garments, gloves, eye protection, face shields, or other equipment determined by process and risk assessment
