• Promote Safety: Prioritize safety to ensure all assigned plants have zero accidents and comply with all Vulcan policies.
• Organize and Plan Production: Plan daily operation scheduling of plant production to ensure optimal utilization of plant and equipment, personnel, and inventory requirements.
• Manage Employee Relations: Provide leadership, training, team building, and supervision to employees; work cross‑functionally with HR for recruitment, merit increases, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
• Monitor Processes and Materials: Analyze production and quality control to ensure a quality product; monitor operational reports; implement preventive maintenance to limit disruptions.
• Maintain Compliance: Build a strong safety culture; manage health and safety of employees to continuously improve performance.
• Inspect Equipment and Perform Repairs: Assist and organize daily inspection and maintenance of plant equipment to maximize production and minimize interruptions.
• Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

• Experience: Previous experience supervising production employees, preferably at an aggregate, sand/gravel or asphalt plant.
• Leadership and Management: Ability to provide strong leadership and mentorship, motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
• Operational Knowledge: Knowledge of rock and sand mining, ready‑mix concrete and/or asphalt operations, MSHA regulations, engineering principles, and quality control systems.
