Tool Service Member - 3rd shift

Job Responsibilities

• You will work with the team to assure that all tooling, customer, safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Design, repair, and build precision tooling and gauges used to manufacture compressor airfoils from blueprints.
• Select tools, machines and techniques to complete Tool Services assignments on items such as forge dies, machine fixtures, cutters, gauges, holding devices and other special‑purpose tools.
• Perform various types of tooling inspections to ensure tools function properly and conform to engineering and in‑process specifications.
• Program, set up and operate any Tool Services machines (CNC or manual operation) needed to complete required job assignments.
• Investigate problems to determine why tooling does not perform as expected.
• Make in‑process repairs as required.
• Use advanced shop mathematics through trigonometry and a variety of precision measuring equipment.
• Enter and complete Tooling Work Orders using SAP.
• Follow shop standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Perform predictive, preventative, and routine maintenance on Tool Services equipment.
• Conduct pertinent data‑collection initiatives to enhance machining, tooling production, and planned maintenance activities.
• Assist with area consumable and material inventory and ordering to ensure needed materials/tooling are on hand.
• Maintain shop cleanliness standards (6S) and perform daily walk‑arounds (preventive maintenance).
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures, as well as ethics requirements.
• Participate in shop‑specific safety training programs and ensure compliance with OSHA job‑safety requirements.
• Work the 3rd shift (Monday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM).

• High‑school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• U.S. citizenship.

• Three years of technical on‑the‑job experience.
• CAD/CAM experience or training.
• CNC machining experience.
• Manual machining experience.
• Blueprint‑reading proficiency.
• Experience with tight‑tolerance precision gauge work.
• Wire EDM experience.
• Precision grinding experience.
