Starting Pay: $20.05/hr (attendance incentive offered)

Hours:

Tuesday – Friday 8am‑6pm and Saturday 8am – 12pm

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Work may be performed in any department of the feed mill. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, pushing, and pulling up to 300 lb buggies, reaching, lifting (weight varies by area), and working on elevated surfaces where required.

Work environment may be dusty, cold, damp, hot, humid, and include slippery walking surfaces. The candidate must communicate orally and in writing, possess basic math and computer skills, and enter data into a handheld computer system. Must use basic hand tools and operate power tools, all automated equipment, saws, sheet‑metal shears, drills, grinders, ladders and obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification (PIT).

The role requires work with specialized equipment, maintaining cleanliness, working alongside contractors to ensure proper utilization of equipment, and completing training to properly set up, operate, shut down equipment. Performance will be evaluated by Tyson and vendor managers to ensure proper operation of the machines.

Successful candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Applicant must reside in a 30‑mile radius of the facility and have the ability to fabricate by welding and cutting. Must be able to read and write to follow Tyson preventive maintenance program. Candidates must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12‑month period.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting or relevant work experience.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent (including Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule: no more than three prior work periods at Tyson Foods.
