Warehouse Floor Manager
Kelly Services is seeking a Warehouse Floor Manager for a leading cookie producer in Augusta, GA. This is a salaried, long-term contract position with potential for permanent hire. While working with Kelly, you’ll enjoy full benefits.
Schedule & Compensation- Day shift: 7am–7pm (rotating schedule)
- Week 1:
Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat - Week 2:
Sun/Wed/Thurs - Pattern repeats weekly
- Initial training will be day shift (1–2 months)
- Pay: $28.00 per hour (salaried; hours beyond 40 are unpaid)
- Some machine maintenance experience required
- Leadership EXP a MUST
- Comfortable using computers
The Floor Manager is responsible for maintaining standards and producing the highest quality products during their shift, with a focus on safety, quality, and production.
Responsibilities- Manage teams of 6–60 associates across 1–5 production lines, ensuring safety, quality, HR, and production standards are met.
- Collaborate with client departments such as safety, quality, production, HR, maintenance, and shipping/receiving.
- Attend and participate in monthly trainings on QA, safety, and professional development.
- Assist with minor machine troubleshooting, restocking materials, and addressing equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Attend monthly safety meetings
- Ensure associates comply with all PPE and GMP requirements on the production floor
- Provide PPE as needed, collaborating with safety and staffing teams
- Complete safety audit sheets and provide corrective documentation for safety infractions
- Communicate shift schedules and product targets; verify batch codes and piece counts prior to starting each shift
- Ensure HACCP paperwork is available and properly executed
- Report incidents or quality issues promptly, following escalation protocols
- Participate in quality/QA checks, elevate product standards issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with relevant departments
- Provide leadership, motivation, training, guidance, and support to production teammates
- Oversee on-the-job training and development for direct reports
- Provide input on teammate performance, including documentation, evaluations, and investigations when necessary
- Work with upper management to address QA, maintenance, shipping, safety, and production needs
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed, escalating to maintenance according to protocol
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety, QA, and production programs
- Verify WIP and materials for each production run, partnering with the shipping department
- Complete SIMS board and shift summaries for leadership, explaining performance across safety, QA, production, and HR
- Conduct shift reconciliations with incoming floor manager, communicating shift performance and ensuring smooth transitions
