Pay Rate: $20.52 - $22.73

• Responsible for understanding braiding specs and loading procedures of the saturation.
• Responsible for checking saturation job for proper lengths, sizes and description against specs and job numbers.
• Responsible for assembling all necessary items associated with each saturation job.
• Responsible to observe Southwire safety rules, maintain good housekeeping, and perform all other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read and comprehend production orders.
• Judgment concerning quality of wire is encountered.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Operator should be in good physical condition.
• Operator must be able to follow instructions.

• Somewhat disagreeable working conditions, in that the operator is exposed to heat, cold, and water.
• Surrounding equipment is somewhat noisy and hearing protection is required.
• Operator is constantly walking, climbing, bending and pushing. Rolling and set‑up of reels requiring a force of 50 pounds is required.

• Follow all company environmental rules / procedures, and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
• Follow prescribed safety rules / procedures so as to prevent injury to self and others and to maintain safe equipment and conditions in entire area of responsibility.
• Seek the assistance and advice of safety representatives on matters concerning safe practices, policies, or procedures and give personal support to all safety activities and procedures.
• Use the company's ISO Quality System documentation to help guide all daily quality activities.

• High school diploma, or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read and write. Arithmetic encountered is addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, division, and decimals.
• Operator should be able to perform satisfactorily in six to eight weeks.
