Production Planning Lead- Industrial Manufacturing - Direct Hire

A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Production Planning Lead responsible for overseeing production scheduling, material planning, and manufacturing execution support.

This position offers the opportunity to influence production performance, improve planning processes, and help drive operational excellence within a complex manufacturing environment. The role combines hands-on planning responsibilities with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

• Lead and develop a team responsible for production planning and scheduling activities
• Coordinate production schedules to align customer demand, material availability, labor capacity, and manufacturing priorities
• Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks that could impact delivery commitments
• Partner with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production constraints
• Maintain planning parameters including lead times, safety stock levels, lot sizing, and planning data accuracy
• Analyze production and inventory metrics to improve schedule attainment, inventory performance, and on-time delivery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, operational efficiency, and process standardization
• Support forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management efforts

• Experience leading production planning, production control, scheduling, or supply chain teams within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and capacity planning
• Experience utilizing Oracle ERP Supply Chain and Manufacturing applications
• Ability to balance changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing operation
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience leading production planning, production control, scheduling, or supply chain teams within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and capacity planning

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience supporting high-mix manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of S&OP processes
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
