What’s yours?
The Banding position’s primary responsible for preparing and applying custom banding and trim on drapery products. In this hands‑on role, you will apply custom banding and trim, sew components like tabs and Euro‑hems, fabricate tiebacks, and prepare drapery products for the next stage of production. This role requires precision, focus, and a commitment to quality.
What you’ll do- Apply custom banding and trim to drapery products with precision
- Fabricate tiebacks and sew components, including tabs, Euro‑hems, and stiffeners
- Insert chain weights and prepare ripple fold snap tape as required
- Read and follow work orders to ensure accurate production
- Inspect cuts and finished products to maintain high‑quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
- Cross‑train in other production tasks to support the team
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of fabrics or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate sewing machines and hand tools (training provided)
- Ability to read and follow work orders, measurements, and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–40 lbs (assistance for heavier items)
- Ability to use hands for repetitive sewing and production tasks
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read labels, measurements, and work tickets accurately
- Color vision test required (if applicable)
- Annual base salary range: $15 hourly
