Job Description

The Asian American Advocacy Fund (AAAF) is a non‑profit 501(c)(4) social welfare organization based in Norcross, Georgia, seeking experienced individuals to join its team as Canvassers. AAAF advances progressive policies, endorses values‑aligned candidates, and mobilizes AAPI voters to create lasting political change. The selected candidates will report directly to the Direct Voter Contact Team.

We are seeking CANVASSERS to engage Asian Americans and other BIPOC communities in Fulton, Gwinnett, or other assigned areas for the 2026 Elections in Georgia. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; we do not sponsor visas.

• Community Engagement: actively engage with local community members to encourage civic participation and provide information about AAAF campaigns, primarily through in‑person door‑to‑door interactions. This may also include participation in AAAF tabling events.
• Data Entry: maintain accurate, up‑to‑date data on community engagements and enter the information into the NGP VAN database.

• Alignment with AAAF’s mission and values.
• Comfortable working on your feet and door‑knocking in neighborhoods for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from canvassing locations, with access to a vehicle on‑site during work hours.
• Ability to use a personal device (phone) to download apps.
• Availability to work in‑person in the metro‑Atlanta area or other assigned areas.
• Commitment to at least 12 hours per week of door‑knocking.
• Full vaccination against COVID‑19 upon start date.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Proficiency in an Asian language (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, Urdu, etc.).
• Previous door‑to‑door canvassing experience with an advocacy group or political campaign.
• Familiarity with NGP VAN and the MiniVAN mobile app.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.

This is a part‑time, temporary position until November 2026 requiring reliable transportation and commuting to the Norcross, GA office and metro Atlanta areas regularly. A fuel stipend will be provided. CDC guidelines for ensuring a safe work environment and personal protective equipment will be followed.
