Preaching Minister Northside Christian Church

Northside Christian Church is seeking a Christ centered, Bible believing Lead Pastor who loves God, loves people, and is passionate about helping others grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We are looking for a shepherd who will faithfully preach God’s Word, lead with humility and conviction, and help our church continue to pursue God’s mission in our community.

Northside is an independent Christian Church (Restoration Movement) with an average attendance of approximately 100 people. We are a warm, multigenerational congregation that values biblical teaching, authentic relationships, meaningful worship, and reaching people with the gospel. We desire a pastor who will lead us spiritually while equipping our members to serve Christ both within the church and throughout our community.

• Preparing and delivering biblically faithful, practical, and engaging sermons each Sunday.
• Providing biblical teaching through classes, small groups, and discipleship opportunities.
• Offering pastoral care through counseling, hospital visitation, crisis ministry, weddings, funerals, and member encouragement.
• Casting vision for the future of the church and leading the congregation toward that vision in partnership with the elders.
• Supervising and encouraging a staff of three employees while fostering a healthy and unified ministry team.
• Working alongside elders and ministry leaders to strengthen every area of church life.
• Equipping members to discover and use their spiritual gifts in ministry.
• Representing the church in the local community while encouraging evangelism and outreach.
• Providing administrative leadership appropriate for a congregation of our size.

• Excellent preaching and communication skills.
• A shepherd’s heart that values relationships, compassion, and servant leadership.
• The ability to lead with both conviction and humility.
• Experience developing leaders and working collaboratively with elders, staff, and volunteers.
• A heart for discipleship, outreach, and helping people mature in their faith.

Formal ministry education and previous pastoral experience are preferred, though we are most interested in a candidate whose character, gifting, and calling reflect the qualifications for elders and pastors found in Scripture.
