THE SPLC IS SEEKING A STATE COMMUNITY ORGANIZER, GEORGIA STATE OFFICE (EAST GEORGIA) WHO IS PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE!

The State Community Organizer builds and maintains relationships with community members, leaders, and partners. Identifies opportunities for community involvement and ways to support the Center's mission. They also engage allies in campaigns and advocacy efforts on a local and state level. This position will work from CSRA Region of Georgia 100% of the time, which includes but not limited to the following counties:
Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Augusta-Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington Wilkes.

Experienced.Demonstrated experience organizing communities, building grassroots networks, and cultivating strong partnerships with community leaders and organizations.

You know how to move people from awareness to action through strategic outreach, leadership development, volunteer engagement, and advocacy campaigns.

Disciplined:A self-starter who thrives with autonomy, takes initiative, and consistently follows through.

Data Informed:Establish short- and long-term goals, track progress, and continuously improve organizing strategies.

Collaborative:You value teamwork, recognizing that lasting community impact is built through strong relationships and shared leadership.

and organize projects and events; leads outreach and campaign activities, volunteer activities, mobilization efforts, and advocacy campaigns at local and state levels.

Plan
for future work by SPLC and in collaboration with other partners.

Compile
progress reports and community updates to stakeholders.

Perform
research and develops tools and educational materials.

Perform
other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

• Minimum 1 year of community organizing and 1 year working on campaigns and/or advocacy efforts; and
• High School Diploma or GED.

This is a non-exempt role, and the minimum starting salary is $61,825 ($29.72 per hour) annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

This role has the following work designation options:

• Regional Work:Requires that employees reside in and be physically present during work hours in a specific geographic region (during the employee's local time). The region could be part of a city, an entire county, or several states depending on the role.
• This position will report to the Regional Manager, Community Organizer.

This job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.
