Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in an acute care/medicine unit
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, documenting changes and interventions accurately
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Prioritize and coordinate daily patient flow to optimize patient experience and outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health-related issues
- Advocate for patients while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and satisfaction
- Support shared governance activities and contribute to council initiatives
- Mentor and precept new nurses, fostering a positive work environment
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and training
Experience:
- Key Skills;
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills - Care planning and implementation expertise
- Patient care coordination and daily patient flow management
- Accurate clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
- Patient advocacy and education skills
- Effective interdisciplinary communication
- Knowledge of hospital policies, safety, and compliance standards
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in an acute care setting
- Professional accountability and leadership mindset
- Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse License (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or BLS Instructor) upon hire
- Ability to work full-time day shifts
