Job Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Charge RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring prior charge experience and Epic proficiency. Responsibilities Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting Adult to geriatric patient population with a broad range of Med/Surg diagnoses Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 32-room unit with an average daily census of 29 Charge RN role — charge experience is required Skills required include:
Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Nasal Cannula, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Chest Tubes, Starting IVs, PICC Line Management, Blood Product Administration, and Feeding Tube Care and Management EMR:
Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 Every other weekend required Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed No on-call requirements 12-week contract First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted Navy blue scrubs required RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12) Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO;

if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work two and may request one holiday off — Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted night shift is firm Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit Two supervisory references (Manager level or above;
