American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit position with remote telemetry in Augusta, GA, requiring an active GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit serving adolescent to geriatric patients
• 38-bed unit with an average daily census of 33 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Unit supports remote telemetry and typical Med/Surg diagnoses
• Utilizes Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Holiday coverage is required based on the number of major holidays during assignment
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO); RTO not permitted during spring break (April 4th-12th)
• No RTO allowed during major holidays unless three occur during the assignment, then one may be reviewed for approval
• No special scheduling requests permitted; shift and schedule are firm
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift/unit
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance is required prior to start and to attend bi-weekly orientation

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience with remote telemetry preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references, manager level or above, are highly preferred
