As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) on the Burn Unit, you’ll be part of a team that provides life‑changing care to patients recovering from burn injuries using a variety of innovative treatments. Working alongside registered nurses, physicians, and care teams, you’ll help ensure every patient feels supported, seen, and cared for. Patient stays can be prolonged, allowing you to build relationships and see how far patients have come from their initial burn injuries.
Your work will be a part of transformative care that supports healing and allows you to witness a visible difference in patients' recovery every day.
- Gathering and updating vital health information and watching for signs of infection, dehydration or shock
- Providing hands‑on care and supporting treatments like advanced wound care and hydrotherapy
- Administering medications, oftentimes for pain management or infection, and monitoring patient responses
- Recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition in collaboration with the burn team
- Guiding patients and families through their care journey with compassion and support as they heal from trauma, manage scarring, and navigate extended hospital stays
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
- Vocational School Graduate
