Calling all candidates who want to be part of a fun and growing team! Paradigm at Woodwind Lakes is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and compassionate Wound Care Nurse for weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to join the Paradigm Healthcare family.
Job Duties- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s care plan in accordance with physician orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
- Supervise daily work assignments and unit assignments, and assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing tasks.
- Utilize established methods for coordination and communication of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of the resident’s total regimen of care.
- Participate in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by authorized government agencies as directed.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner in compliance with facility policies.
- Agree not to disclose assigned user and password for accessing resident/facility information and promptly report suspected or known violations to the Administrator.
- Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers when needed or as directed by Administration and/or physician.
- Provide prompt emergency support measures, including CPR, in accordance with physician orders, resident/family wishes, advance directives, and facility policies.
- Deliver care in a courteous, kind, gentle, and friendly manner, respecting residents’ dignity and privacy.
- Ensure nursing interventions are performed in a timely manner; if delayed, provide explanations for the delay.
- Make frequent rounds of the assigned unit to ensure nursing staff perform work in accordance with acceptable standards.
- Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals per facility policies.
- Report known or suspected incidents of fraud, abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Administrator.
- Ensure departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or protected by an automatic screensaver within established policy guidelines.
- Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility information systems.

- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state.
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- Two (2) years of experience in Long‑Term Care is preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is preferred.
- Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care is preferred.
- Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
