We are seeking a dedicated Full‑Time School Registered Nurse to join our team in the Lake Park, GA area for the school year. This role is essential in providing health services and support at our school clinic. Key Responsibilities- Health Services:
Provide general nursing care to students and staff in the school clinic, including first aid, medication administration, and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses. - Health Monitoring:
Conduct health screenings and monitor chronic health conditions for students. - Emergency Response:
Respond to medical emergencies, including coordinating with emergency services and ensuring appropriate follow‑up care. - Health
Education:
Promote health education and wellness programs for students and staff, including topics on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and staff, including documentation of visits, treatments, and immunization records. - Collaboration:
Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and parents to address health concerns and develop individualized health plans for students with specific needs. - Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.
- Certification:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. - Education:
Associate's degree or higher in Nursing (BSN preferred). - Experience:
Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing is preferred. - Skills:
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to providing passionate care. - Other:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
