Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring Epic proficiency, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications, with night shift availability and float coverage across MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units.

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

• Hospital setting with float coverage required across all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the facility
• Patient population includes adults through geriatrics, covering all potential MS, MS/Tele, and PCU diagnoses
• Patient ratios: 1:4–5 on PCU; 1:5–6 on MS and MS/Tele units
• EMR:
  Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR
• Night shift: 3x12‑hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required (approximately 6 weekends over a 13‑week contract)
• No on‑call requirements
• Floating required; no fixed unit assignment
• First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them—major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted night shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
