Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Augusta, GA

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric Med-Surg population across a range of medical-surgical diagnoses
• Manage and monitor patients on isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes
• Perform IV starts, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 within a 32-room unit with an average daily census of 29
• Document and communicate patient information using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or post-start

• Charge RN experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Familiarity with a high-census, fast-paced inpatient unit environment

• Local candidates are welcome and accepted for this contract opportunity
