• Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for predictability.
• Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff.
• Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning to ensure safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room.
• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on patient care and surgical workflow improvement.
• On‑call required during selected non‑business hours.
• Responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients.
• Thorough knowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures relevant to nursing care.
• Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position.
• Ability to retrieve, communicate, or otherwise present information in written, auditory, or visual formats.
• Responsible for patient direction and flow through the appropriate diagnostic areas.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow‑up measures.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• No travel required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
