Description:

Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The unit cares for patients with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease. Skills in telemetry, EKG, and Doppler are required. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:5. The unit has 16 beds and an average daily census of 16. Knowledge in IV insulin protocols, cardiac drips, and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Experience in non-invasive airway management and wound care is expected.

Float to other cardiac telemetry units or other units as needed. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during the assignment. Holiday considerations will be made if three major holidays fall within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding and other requirements is mandatory to start on time. Candidates will go through a clinical screening to determine fit for the position.

Full compliance is required prior to the start of the assignment.
