Job Summary:
Part-time, 7p-7a. The RN Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides individualized, high-quality, safe patient care and upholds the voice of the patient, system policies, and service-excellence goals. Licensed and prepared to practice under the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics Standards of the American Nurses Association.
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice; deliver individualized care and coordinate care through effective partnerships.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care aligned with population characteristics and cultural diversity; adapt service delivery accordingly.
- Partner with patients and family members using appropriate communication methods (bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, patient teaching) to keep goals central to the plan of care.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards.
- Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, high-quality patient care; promote inclusive interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, supporting fiscal responsibility and recruitment/retention of health-care team members.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, including leading or supporting inter/intra-disciplinary processes and shared governance.
- Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
- Serve as a preceptor/mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement; participate in data collection and address practice questions with appropriate resources.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, legal/regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., patient safety goals and safety absolutes).
- Support development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and health-care team members to achieve best-practice outcomes.
- Assist in resource planning and efficient use of human/material resources; perform other duties as assigned.
- Required Minimum Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Bachelors preferred). - Required Minimum
Licenses/Certifications:
All certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise. - Examples of common certifications: BLS; RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact); PALS; TNCC; ACLS. Specific instructor or provisional options as applicable within stated timelines.

Minimum Experience:
Completion of accredited nursing program with required clinical hours; direct patient care experience preferred. - Required Minimum

Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); strong computer and technology use; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; decisive, respectful response to emergencies; strong time-management and critical-thinking abilities.
