American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring ERCP experience and the ability to perform advanced procedures including EBUS and Bronchoscopy.
Details- Inpatient Endoscopy unit with 3 procedure rooms and 11 beds, with an average daily census of 20 patients
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Procedures include ERCP with Spy Glass, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION Procedure
- Charting via Epic (preferred);
Pyxis used for medication management - Schedule consists of a mix of 10-hour (6:30–17:00) and 8-hour (6:30–15:00) day shifts, totaling 36 hours per week
- Requires working 2–3 weekends per contract
- On-call required: 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
- No floating required
- Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- ERCP experience required
- Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for GI/Endoscopy procedures
- Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy blue scrubs required
- RTO must be finalized prior to acceptance — no RTO or schedule changes can be requested after offer or onsite; RTO during the first week of the assignment is not permitted
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Spring Break (April 4–12) is an RTO blackout period
- Holiday coverage policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work at least 2
- Major holidays include:
New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Day - Local candidates are accepted
- Any candidate who has worked at this health system as a permanent employee, per diem, or in another staff capacity must have been away from all system facilities for at least 1 full year before being considered as a traveler
- Charge RN experience is preferred
- All compliance items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documents due the Tuesday prior to the start date
