Role Overview

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They operate within organizational policies, ensuring professional growth and accountability, and coordinate patient care activities to maintain high-quality standards.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No experience needed; new graduates are eligible; hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Georgia or multistate license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced specialty certifications may be needed based on unit.

• Various units require specialized certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, or dialysis certifications, with specific timelines for completion.
• Staff nurses may need to obtain unit-specific certifications within designated periods to provide specialized care.

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across diverse clinical settings.
• Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to organizational policies and maintain professional standards.
• Complete required certifications relevant to the assigned unit or specialty area.
