The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
He/she operates within organizational policies, ensuring professional growth and accountability. The role involves maintaining practice standards and coordinating patient care activities among assigned staff to deliver quality nursing services.
Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited nursing program;
Bachelor's degree preferred - No experience required; new graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred
- Current Georgia RN license or multistate license; BCLS certification
- Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area (e.g., ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP)
- Providing direct patient care based on nursing assessments
- Implementing and evaluating care plans
- Ensuring adherence to standards of practice
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to coordinate care
- Obtaining necessary specialty certifications within specified time frames
