American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
• 42-bed unit caring for mostly post-surgical patients including Ortho, Urology, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Neurology, and General Surgery cases
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 1:6 patient ratio across 42 rooms
• Uses Epic EMR (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication method
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Required Epic charting system experience
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills include isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and oxygen tanks, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response including rapid response/code teams

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract, with all RTO finalized at time of submission and no requests permitted after offer or onsite
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period, covering Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (Perm/Per Diem/FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before rebooking
