Role Overview
The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They ensure adherence to organizational policies, maintain professional standards, and coordinate patient care activities among staff to deliver quality nursing services.
QualificationsRequires graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. New graduates are eligible, with hospital experience preferred. Must hold a valid Georgia RN license or multistate license and BCLS certification. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area, such as ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, or NRP, depending on the unit.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide patient-centered care, coordinate care activities, and demonstrate professional accountability. Maintain standards of practice, adapt to specialty-specific certifications, and support safety in high-risk situations. The role involves ongoing professional growth within a collaborative healthcare environment.
