Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta has been providing psychiatric services to the CSRA for more than 15 years. Located in Augusta, GA, our 84-bed facility provides a therapeutic setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness. Lighthouse Care Center offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities, and our tenured team includes seasoned medical staff.

LCCA currently has exciting opportunities for exceptional Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the Lighthouse Nursing Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective treatment and medication management is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

The LPN is expected to deliver quality direct care of patients under appropriate clinical supervision, to residents with psychiatric disorders admitted to the residential units.

Job duties/responsibilities include providing safety, supervision, and crisis management; providing assessment and medical management; and supporting the management of a therapeutic environment. Responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues, or inability to function or maintain in the community.

Qualifications include a current license to practice nursing in the State of Georgia (or eligible to receive or renew), current CPR or BLS certification, current and valid driver’s license, and prefer one (1) year psychiatric experience with adolescents and adults in an acute hospital or residential setting.
