Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care
Schedule:
Weekends: every other weekend (number of weekend shifts per contract:
6)
Assignment Details:
Unit size: 10 beds (average daily census ~7)
Requirements:
Minimum: 2 years RN experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS Preferred: prior charge experience, Epic charting experience Key clinical skills:
Hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, Swan-Ganz/PA lines) Mechanical circulatory support: LVAD, IABP/balloon pumps Temporary pacemaker management CRRT/CVVHD management Ventilator management, tracheostomy care Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips; sedation management Post-cardiac and vascular surgery care Blood product administration, central line/PICC care, dysrhythmia interpretation
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. Monitor and assess patients' hemodynamic status, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including titration of drips and sedation/paralytics. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures related to patient safety and care standards.
Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
Compliance / Notes:
Must hold a GA or Compact RN license at the time of submission. Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start. Orientation: 24 hours. RTO policy:
All RTO requests must be finalized at time of submission (max 7 days). Travelers expected to work major holidays if assigned during holiday periods.
