Minimum experience:

1 year; 1st timers are accepted, charge nurse experience requested

Patient population:
Adults to geriatrics

Certifications required: BLS, ACLS

General skills and work setting requirements: post MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease; peritoneal dialysis; telemetry, EKG, Doppler

Ratio/census: 1:5; 16 beds with average daily census of 16

Unit systems:
Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub color:
Navy blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

RTO blackout dates:
Spring break (April 4th-12th)

Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period

Floating:
Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call requirements:
None

Holidays:
If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Major holidays are listed below:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one)
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one)
• New Years Eve/New Years Day (counts as one)

Compliance:
Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Clinical screen - candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
