Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown unit. Monitor cardiac patients' conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and monitor vital signs regularly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to cardiac arrhythmias or deterioration.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Georgia or a Compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac stepdown nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrate clinical proficiency in managing post-myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and related conditions.
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations with strong critical thinking skills.
