Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Telemetry Nurse Opportunity

Provide specialized nursing care to adult to geriatric patients in a telemetry unit. Manage patients with complex diagnoses, monitor cardiac rhythms, and coordinate treatments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' medical conditions and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer medications and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Respond promptly to cardiac and clinical emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
• Document patient findings, treatments, and responses accurately in Epic EMR system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatments, and post-discharge care requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license for Georgia or a Compact state at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in telemetry nursing; first-time travelers accepted.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, especially for adult and geriatric populations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced telemetry environment with diagnoses including CHF, MI, Dysrhythmias, Sepsis, and vascular issues.
• Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
