American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• General Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for an adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Works every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac), oxygen administration, and oral suctioning
• Experience with continuous bladder irrigation and renal failure management preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, rapid response, and code team protocols

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO or schedule change requests permitted after offer or onsite
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
