About the RoleProvide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from burn injuries and related conditions
Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
Deliver compassionate support and education to patients and families throughout recovery
Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and positive clinical outcomes
Assess patient conditions and identify changes in health status
Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies
Perform wound care and dressing changes according to established protocols
Monitor pain management effectiveness and patient responses to treatment
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Associate Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree preferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
Previous acute care, critical care, surgical, trauma, or burn unit experience preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
