Registered Nurse (RN) – Burn Unit – Augusta, GA

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join its specialized patient care team. About the Role
  • Provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from burn injuries and related conditions

  • Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans

  • Deliver compassionate support and education to patients and families throughout recovery

  • Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and positive clinical outcomes

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient conditions and identify changes in health status

  • Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies

  • Perform wound care and dressing changes according to established protocols

  • Monitor pain management effectiveness and patient responses to treatment

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required;
    Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe

  • Previous acute care, critical care, surgical, trauma, or burn unit experience preferred

  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
