American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a Renal Med/Surg unit with a GA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit specializing in Renal Med/Surg care
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 49-room unit averaging 48 daily census
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR (required), along with Pyxis and SBAR systems
• Required to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis management preferred
• Experience with telemetry and MS/Tele care preferred
• Skills in wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, PICC line management, and central line blood draws preferred
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and high flow nasal cannula preferred
• Experience with insulin, heparin, and PCA medication management preferred
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care preferred
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams preferred

• Provide direct patient care on a Renal Med/Surg unit including respiratory, gastrointestinal, and cardiac monitoring support
• Utilize rapid response and code team protocols as needed
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Holiday coverage required based on the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who cancel or receive a DNR from a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
