Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries. This role involves supporting complex vascular procedures in a hybrid OR setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring all pre-operative protocols are followed.
- Assist surgeons during CVOR surgeries, including vascular and hybrid OR cases, utilizing endovascular experience and EVAR techniques.
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as CSI and Penumbra ratios, maintaining high standards of sterile technique.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless workflow, patient safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Document all clinical activities accurately within electronic health record systems, such as Epic.
- Provide postoperative care, monitoring recovery and responding promptly to any complications.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid RN license in Georgia or a Compact state at the time of application.
- Demonstrate at least 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, with specific expertise in vascular and hybrid OR cases.
- Hold current BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred.
- Proven experience supporting endovascular procedures, EVAR, and using CSI/ Penumbra equipment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure vascular surgical environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within the surgical team.
