Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing various diagnoses including CHF, MI, dysrhythmias, and vascular issues. Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through diligent assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition continuously and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within the Epic system and other unit systems.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs during extended 12-hour shifts, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Comply with all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license for GA or a Compact state.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Obtain and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications, NIH preferred.
• Possess excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Be fully compliant with onboarding and clinical screening requirements prior to start date.
